just a quick update

This is my attempt to avoid doing homework for a little but longer.

School is okay.. my advice to upcoming college seniors... make sure you have at least 12 hours to take your last semester... any less and you fell like you have all the time in the world so you get lazy and then all of the sudden your project is due tomorrow. Don't worry mom, my stuff isn't due tomorrow, it was just an example. But I am over working in groups. Take that back, I'm over school.

Papaws book is finished and it looks great... Matt met the majority of the family yesterday when he accompanied me to a family and friend book signing at GrandPeggy and Papaw's house! It was fun! That was the plus of not being able to be in California with my parents this weekend.

That reminds me. The reason why I didn't go to California was because I didn't fee like I could miss class on thursday and I had a huge assignment due the thursday I was to come back. I just felt like it would be to stressfull to pull off. Well, I spiked a fever on Thursday and ended up sleeping through that class and that assignment was pushed back a week. O well... btw.. hows the job search katie?!?! anything good surface yet?!?! :) Okay.. I need some brain food and then its time for some serious homework!! ( or i might just talk to katie for 45 mins like i did last week when i was "studying")

RAIN!!

When i woke up this morning my room felt different. The Texas sunrise usually bursts through my shades forcing my to roll over and cover my eyes. But today was different, there was no sunrise and no singing birds. Rather, gray clouds were painted across the sky and the parking lot was wet!! It rained last night and it looks as though it will try and rain at some point again.

My favorite thing to do when it rains is sleep. But it is monday morning and I had to get up and go to work. I say that like I have a 9-5 job, when in reality I didn't have to be at work until 10 and I only had one client so I was out by 10:30.

I've never understood why people don't like the rain. It makes things grow, and fills the rivers. IT also means practice might be canceled or here in San Antonio, one flash flood means the entire city shuts down because of bad draining systems which means the possibility of no class!!!!

Off to study at the coffee shop by my casa. BRING ON THE RAIN!!

I haven't worked a Saturday in a while... I actually haven't worked the front desk in a while either! But I need the money so here I am. It's just me and Shay and she just showed me the coolest thing ever!!!!!!!!! well its a few cool things actually...

the first... steepandcheap.com.... a website that posts one great deal like camping gear, North Face stuff. It's just great!

The second... whiskeymilitia.com... again a website that posts one great deal at a time and when its gone they post another great deal. This is great stuff!! Everyone should check it out! I'm talking North Face ski jackets for like $150.... that's stink cheap!!!!!!!!!! I think everyone will be getting something from one of these websites for christmas!

the search continues

As many of you know I am looking for a job.. those who follow my blog are more than welcome to start looking for me. I know nothing about the economy. Only that the stock market took one heck of a plunge the other day because some bailout plan didn't pass the first time. Apparently it passed since then so does that mean the stock market will shoot up?!?

Like I said, economics+ me=ERROR!

Anyway, what I am finding is there aren't so many jobs out there. And what I am finding is not exactly what I would call me dream job. I also realize that I provide a luxury. No one really needs some one to write press releases not does anyone really need someone to plan their wedding. In a chat with charity the other day we came to a great solution to my issue. After discussing her job and the fact that there will always be, sadly, screwed up families that need to be monitored, it hit me... Pharmaceutical Sales!! That's it! People always need drugs!! rather it be pain killers or antibiotics, or anxiety meds, anti-psyco meds... the list goes on... People will always get sick, physically and mentally and they will go to doctors who will prescribe their pills and i am the one who sells them!! PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!
